This year, Lena wanted to be a strawberry.
On Saturday morning, we headed to West Hartford center to participate in the Halloween Stroll. Unfortunately, we forgot to take pictures of that but essentially you trick-or-treat at all of the stores. Lena had a hard time picking candy from the bowls - it was probably more that she was cautious of the givers rather than not understanding the concept - but she definitely understood she was to throw the candy in the bag we carried for her. To be honest, she wasn't the best at selecting the candy. Yellow starbursts? Tootsie rolls? Come on!
Later that day, we attended the birthday part of Lena's friend, Grady. I met Grady's mom back when Lena was a couple months old and she and I were both strolling our babies around the neighborhood. There were quite a few kids there around the one year mark so we captured a picture of all of them together.
Grady is the one on the other side of the ladybug. His mom thinks he looks like a lollipop kid so that's what she dressed him up as!
Anyway, we'll see if we get to break out the strawberry again this week. If not, Happy Halloween!
