seven months

Mr. Everett, you are now seven months.  As I mentioned a couple weeks ago, you had a lot of milestones this past month.  Clapping and saying some consonants and eating solids and getting yourself into the all fours position and oh crawling now!  I'd say you first started crawling on June 28th.  It's been a week now and you're now doing it consistently but you prefer to just get to the nearest place you can pull yourself up on so you never go very far.  You certainly seem to be going in the direction of being a big time climber.

On the eating front, you are not a huge fan of solids.  You've tried sweet potato, banana, avocado, apple, pear, oatmeal, carrots, and butternut squash.  You've also sucked on various fruits.  You finally seemed to really enjoy the pear but then you got sick this past week and when you were offered it yesterday, you refused it.  So we might be back to square one.  I did bring you to the doctor this week though and your weight percentile has not gone down, so that is good.  You tolerate most of the foods but just not for very long.

No teeth yet.

When it comes to familiar vs. unfamiliar faces, you now get excited when you see someone you know well.  You don't mind new faces but a familiar face makes you very happy.  Including your sister's.  

This past week brought you a virus that made you feverish and very sad.  It was a struggle because we have never known you not to be happy, easygoing baby.  We are appreciative that happy Ev is back now.  So happy seven months to you!
