halloween

It's hard to believe a year ago Lena was a little strawberry for Halloween and she has blossomed into a toddler Mickey Mouse.  We chose this costume after we were talking about what she should be for Halloween and she yelled out, "Mickey Mouse!"  There's no way she had any idea what we were talking about, but we decided to go with it since it was an appropriate response.

Her favorite part of tonight was playing trick-or-treat after we got home, walking around to everyone in the room with a bowl full of candy, telling them to say trick-or-treat, and then making them take some candy from her bowl.  This was played over and over again for about a half hour until I told her it was time for a bath and she insisted on bringing the bowl of candy upstairs and having it sit on the toilet so she could see it while she bathed.  Fortunately, she forgot about it so I wasn't forced to put it in her crib for the night.  And fortunately, she doesn't know that the real fun is what lays inside the wrappers.  Happy Halloween, little Mickey!
