We started by going to a temporary exhibit they have with dinosaurs where you sit in an open truck and drive through the forest with dinosaurs popping up every so often. Lena was a little confused and slightly scared but overall intrigued.
We then headed to the children's zoo where we got to check out some tamer animals as well as a petting zoo portion where we were able to feed sheep and goats. Lena really enjoyed this.
We had some lunch and then headed over to see the gorillas.
We also made some pit stops to check out the giraffes and lions as well.
The Bronx Zoo is quite large for a little girl who wants to do a lot of the walking. We missed out on many animals but it was still splendid and we can't wait to go back again and see the rest of them. It is definitely one of my happy places so it is nice to bring my daughter and have her enjoy it as well.
